Back in our [Tradier launch post](/blog/officially-launching-our-tradier-oauth-connection-our-first-real-time-broker-connection-is-live) we said Tastytrade would follow "in the coming weeks." We're _well_ past that now, but the Tastytrade integration is now ready as an open beta.

For now, our third party integration is still undergoing Tastytrade's review, so for now you can connect with your own personal Tastytrade API app. So you'll have to do these extra steps:

1. Create a personal OAuth app on [my.tastytrade.com](https://my.tastytrade.com). Only the read scope is required to be checked.
2. Click "Create Grant" and copy the refresh token
3. Paste both your client secret and the refresh token into our [Tastytrade page](/tastytrade)

## Your Credentials Stay in Your Browser

Pasting a client secret into a website feels odd, so here's exactly what happens. Both values are saved in your browser's local storage, and your browser sends them only to Tastytrade's own API to get short-lived access tokens. Our servers never see them. Every access token we request is limited to the read scope, so it can't place an order even if your grant also has trade. You can disconnect on our side or delete the grant on Tastytrade's side whenever you like.

## What You Get

The same model our Tradier customers use, fed straight from Tastytrade's DxLink stream:

- Real-time quotes and implied volatility for every strike
- Open interest at each strike, plus our [live open interest](/blog/further-improving-our-exposure-model-with-live-open-interest) estimate as trades are received on the API
- Gamma, vanna, and charm exposure recalculated as price, volatility, or open interest moves

## The Road Ahead

Once Tastytrade approves VannaCharm as a third-party app, the copy-and-paste setup goes away and connecting becomes a normal sign-in. TradeStation and Webull are still in development, and you can follow along on our [state of broker integrations](/state-of-broker-integrations) page.

Good luck out there,

-Chris & The VannaCharm Team
